here is my story
About Me - My weight loss story is a bit different - I'm a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in August of 2008, and underwent over 10 surgeries and 5 months of chemotherapy. Before I was diagnosed, I wasn't in the greatest shape - I weighed too much, and I rarely exercised. I didn't take care of myself. Because chemotherapy has some terrible side effects, I had to take steroids to help during treatments. Chemotherapy destroyed my muscle, and steroids packed on the fat. Even though my weight didn't go up or down during my treatments, by the time I finished, I couldn't get into my clothes. And I felt terrible - I had no energy and lots of fatigue. Fast forward 3 years? January 2012. I met the nicest woman at a breast cancer fair. When she found out that I was the president of a local support group, she said she wanted to come and talk to our group about an eating plan that would really help the survivors to gain back their health. I was intrigued, so I scheduled her to do a presentation. It turned out that she was a certified health coach with Take Shape For Life! I was SO excited after hearing what she had to say. I signed up that night! I ordered my food, and I knew, even at that early date, that I wanted to be a health coach. In 26 weeks, I lost 72 pounds, and several inches! But, the most important change for me was my energy level - I feel SO great, and I have TONS more energy. Finally, after 3 years of feeling awful, I'm taking control of my health, and I've never felt better. I've tried so many times to lose weight, and although I've been successful, it always comes back on. On this plan, I know I won't fail! It's the easiest eating plan I've ever encountered, I'm NEVER hungry, and the food is great. The pounds just melt away. I'd LOVE to help you feel as great as I do?
